Loving home needed for Bailey

Bailey is a 4 year old saluki-cross male dog we rehomed from TIA 3 years ago. We fell in love with him straight away and whilst he has become one of the family, our home situation has changed in recent times and he’s not getting the attention he needs or deserves. We welcomed our daughter 2 years ago and since then, we haven’t been able to devote as much time to him as we’d like. He craves our attention and as a result, he gets upset when we ignore/leave him. I’ve also been diagnosed with a serious illness this year which also means we’ve had to prioritise other things. Bailey is extremely affectionate – he’s absolutely wonderful with the toddler and would not harm anyone. We didn’t know his background history when we adopted him but he clearly had a difficult past as he can occasionally be funny around other strange dogs. That said, his best friend is a King Charles cavalier spaniel and so he would suit a household with another dog so he has constant company. He would also benefit from having a large garden or enclosed area to run around in. After all, he is a lurcher and loves to run!

We are desperately sad at the thought of giving him up, we never thought we’d be in this situation but our changed circumstances has meant that we’ve had to seriously consider what to do for the best.

If you think you could provide Bailey with a loving home environment then please get in touch.

Many thanks,

Shelley
