A word from his foster.
Stanley resting and enjoying the warmth after walking in sleet and snow. Ears in usual position! He is improving when he passes other dogs, fine with greyhounds has shared our house with one. Loves people, very affectionate.
Stanley is a lovely older boy, born in 2008. He is on the smaller side for a male. We recently took him out round the local nature reserve where he encountered a couple of smaller breeds. The first was a yappy badly behaved dog and he did react to this, needing a firm hand on the lead. However when we saw another small fluffy dog that was quiet and well mannered he looked but didn’t react. I’m sure that with time he will get used to other breeds and learn to ignore the yappy ones!
He traveled so well in the car, jumped straight into my boot and lay down like such a good lad. He settled into the walk well and was quite good on his lead though I think he will get even better once going on regular walks, a couple of short walks a day should be plenty for this lad and the only other thing that would make his day is a comfy soft bed.
So if you’re looking for an older gent with wacky ears then Stan is your man. It’s sad to see them in the kennels, especially at this age.
