Henry
Former stray of the day. Just look at him now.
Henry is a small black and white greyhound and is 5yrs old. He has been in our home on foster care for about a month after being found as a stray in Sunderland in December.
He has not done anything destructive around the home, or put a foot wrong. He is also a very quick learner. He walks well on both lead, and a heavy duty flexi lead. He did try to run after deer and squirrels while on the flexi lead, and we have not let him off yet. He knows to ask to go out to relieve himself.
He is a very gentle loving dog and has shown no signs of aggression, even when being bullied by our Cairn terrier. He is a dog that loves the company of other dogs, and Pixie our female greyhound is very taken with him. He can seem a little withdrawn when first meeting people outside, but has soon bonded with us, and is very happy around the home, always wagging his tail. Henry likes to help with all the jobs around the house, he is diamond of a dog. He only has half a tail but he certainly knows how to wag it.
Initially he was not sure about toys, but loves them now, pulling them out of our toy basket to have a game. I think anyone who looks into his big soulful eyes will fall for him. Henry is a pleasure to have stay with us, and anyone giving him a forever home will have a much richer life for doing so. He’s a total gent.
